The membership of the National Education Union (NEU) has voted to take further industrial action in schools across the country on a number of dates, the next being Thursday 27 April and Tuesday 2 May 2023. 

We have continued to work closely with colleagues, and our current understanding is that the number of colleagues taking industrial action will impact on the safe, full opening of Glenmoor and Winton Academies. As a result, I have made the difficult decision to partially close the school on both Thursday 27 April and Tuesday 2 May and prioritise certain year groups. This is to ensure all students on site can be kept safe. 

We have a collection of prom dresses, fancy shoes and sparkly clutch bags which are available for Glenmoor & Winton students attending the prom who may require any of these items.

Students and staff at Glenmoor and Winton Academies in Bournemouth are celebrating as GCSE qualifications are awarded. 

Both schools achieved very strong results with 90% of students at Glenmoor Academy achieving a 4 or above in both English and maths and 78% achieving at least a 5 in both subjects.  At Winton Academy, 87% of students achieved a 4 or above in English and maths and 76% achieved at least a 5.  30% of Glenmoor students achieved at least a 7 in English and maths and 30% of students at Winton achieved these top grades.
